İndividual gymnasts team competitions of the 25th European Championship on rhythmic gymnastics has ended today. Azerbaijan National Team for the first time in it's history earned silver medal of the continent competitions. Scoring 27.350 points Aliya Garayeva and 27.350 points Anna Gurbanova rose to the second step of the honorary chair. Russian collective earned the name of European champions and bronze medals went to Ukrainan team. After reward ceremony there was held press conference with participation of winner teams. Gurbanova valued the performance of the team in the conference so: ‘’ We did our best and we showed worthy result’’.Our gymnast also informed that there will not be calm down in tomorrow’s competition. ‘’Everything will begin from zero and we will strive to prove our mastery again’’- said Gurbanova. A.Garayeva especially emphasized work of the coaches in the victory got and thanked them. She also underlined affords of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation and especially the president of federation Mehriban Aliyeva. Head coach of the Russian team, Irina Viner valued the performance of Azerbaijan team. She said: "Girls performed in high-level and earned silver medal, they raised Azerbaijan team to second place in the Europe." Conquerors of the teams of junior group motions and Europe champions in different apparatus will define tomorrow.
